Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at CP 2025
The Association for Constraint Programming (ACP) is committed to upholding practices that support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) among our members, our executive committee, event organizer and other working parties, as well as non-member contributors to our activities.
At CP 2025, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive research community. We strive to support individuals from underrepresented groups and ensure that all attendees feel welcome and valued. Below are the initiatives we have put in place to make CP 2025 as inclusive and accessible as possible.
Importantly, members of the ACP are very sensitive to the respect that is due to those attending the events organized by the association (please see the DEI policy) and has an anti-harassment policy to ensure a harassment-free environment.
DEI Feedback and Anti-harassment and Anti-discriminatory Form
We welcome your feedback for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiative for the CP community. You can give us your feedback using this form. Share your concerns, ideas, suggestions or comments. You can share your feedback anonymously, or you can share your email address for us to contact you for clarification and/or a follow-up conversation. Please also use this form to let us know about any harassment or discriminatory experiences you may have had or you may have seen.
DEI Scholarships
CP 2025 offers DEI scholarships to support individuals from underrepresented groups. These scholarships provide financial assistance to cover conference attendance costs, including registration fees, travel, and accommodation. Scholarship recipients will also be integrated into the Doctoral Program, where they will gain access to mentorship.
Eligibility for the DEI scholarship requires applicants to hold a PhD (or equivalent degree) and to submit a paper to the conference. Note that paper acceptance is not required to qualify for the scholarship. Scholarship applications are integrated into the main paper submission process, where applicants will be asked to provide a statement about their eligibility and a short CV.
For more information on how to apply, please refer to the Call for Papers or contact the DEI chairs.
Childcare Support
CP 2025 recognises the importance of providing support for attendees with childcare needs. We aim to assist with childcare on a best-effort basis. If you are interested in exploring childcare options, we encourage you to get in touch with the DEI chairs early to discuss your needs.
Accessibility
CP 2025 is hosted by the University of Glasgow. The University aims to ensure all people have equal access to public events. As part of the registration process you will have a chance to inform the University of your special requirements. In addition, if you are unsure about the accessibility support, please contact the DEI chairs as soon as possible so we can discuss your needs.
DEI Event
CP 2025 will host a DEI-focused event during the conference to bring attention to the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in constraint programming and the broader research community. Details about the event will be announced closer to the conference date.
Survey on DEI in Constraint Programming
To better understand and address DEI challenges in the community, CP 2025 will conduct a pre-conference survey. The survey results will help shape our DEI initiatives and will be shared during the DEI-focused event to inspire further discussion and action. Make sure you are an active member of the ACP to receive the survey!
We are excited to work towards a more inclusive future and encourage all attendees to engage with these initiatives. For questions or suggestions regarding our DEI efforts, please contact the DEI chairs.
